DUNCAN YOUNG CONSULTING
leadership & communication

RACHAEL COOPES
Facilitator | Executive Coach | Corporate Actor

Driven by a passion for storytelling, Rachael has been working as an actor, presenter, writer and teacher for two decades. In her capacity across all these roles, she applies her aptitude for unpacking complex ideas and presenting them in a clear and engaging way.
Her ability to traverse community work into the corporate environment seamlessly has seen her working in companies and on projects of all shapes and sizes.

Graduating with an Economics degree from Sydney Uni, and coming first in her graduating year for Marketing Communications, she was headhunted by John Fairfax publications, and worked for them as a contractor for 7 years, while still working professionally as an actor. She collaborated on many projects including the research, development and launch of the Saturday edition of the Australian Financial Review. When awarded the Marten bequest scholarship for excellence in performing, and the Ian Potter Foundation’s traveling scholarship for extraordinary artists, she went to Paris to study theatre with infamous French teacher Philippe Gaulier. During this time she taught Financial English and presentation skills to French CEOs, CFOs and consultants within France’s leading banks and management consulting firms (including Roland Berger and BNP). On her return to Australia she has continued working across these diverse areas, including presenting online finance webisodes for UBank.

Her plays have been published, nominated for awards and produced across Australia, Europe and the USA. When she’s not acting or working with Duncan Young consulting, she is busy with her own creative projects and in her capacity as a copywriter for the luxury, women’s, kids and health markets.
